Drone Damage Tables

I’ve compiled a list of drone data that I hope will be useful to those of us who love our drones. First, I have tabled the various drones, the race they belong to and what type of damage they do. But what good is knowing all of this if you don’t know which enemies to use the drones on?

To address that problem, there is a Drones by Enemy Faction table which should prove most useful. I have also listed drones of the same class together (light scout, medium scout, heavy, sentry, fighter) so that their characteristics can be compared.

As soon as I have some spare time, I will explain what terms such as DPS, falloff and tracking speed mean.

Hey, as I twitter'ed I would comment, so here it goes

1. Never use Electromagnetic (Amarr) drones as they are so crappy with their base damage. Even against rats, use the secondary damage (most likely thermal/explosive/and then kinetic).

2. Missile a sentry drone table

3. I strongly suggest this:
Guristas = hobs & hammers
Serpentis = hobs & hammers
Mordu's Legion = hobs & hammers
Blood Raiders = hobs & hammers
Sansha = hobs & hammers
Angel Cartel = warriors & valkyries
Mercenary = hobs & hammers
Corpum = hobs & hammers
Gist = warriors & valkyries

That's it!

You make a good point about Amarr drones. I do find them to be very weak and I typically switch to the secondary. I've noticed this with light and medium drones. Maybe I should remove them from the table or indicate what the problem is with using them. I wouldn't go anywhere without my Hammerhead II drones.

I will try out your suggestions on #3 and I will add them to the table if they work out as I suspect that they will. I really appreciate all of the feedback. Until recently, I was doing very little in the way of missions so I am certainly not a subject matter expert.

Not a problem. 90% of the time Gallente drones rule, and the other 10 percent use Warrior II's for killing fast ships. Flip it around when PvP'ing!

Good table, easy to understand overall tendencies on drones by their damage types.
Some points I have noticed:

1. Base damage and DPS are rounded up too roughly. They differ by over 10% from the real value. Plus, damage modifier, rather than raw damage can be useful to understand their factional tendencies.

2. As EVE's WeekendWarrior wrote above, thermic drones do more DPS than EM ones against Sansha/Blood.

3. For sentry drones, optimal range is more important than damage type, in my opinion. Choose the right sentry according to your rats' orbit radius.

4. Corpum and Blood Raiders are the same thing, as well as Gist/Angel.

I agree. Range is more important when choosing between sentry drones.
